This film focuses on the people of the Sakha Republic in Russia and its most remote part, which is the Nizhnekolymsky district, especially the administrators of the reservation of polar bears found on the Bear Islands in the East Siberian Sea at the mouth of the Kolyma River. It follows their path to an abandoned polar station, where the past meets the present in the snow-covered space.
