The protagonist Maťo lives a worry-free life without rules. He and his childhood friend Tomáš steal cars for a repair garage. Maťo’s life changes when he meets Veronika, whom he falls in love with. Veronika leads the proper life of a university student. She’s from an orphanage, and lives at a dormitory that the school pays for. She's still trying break with her mother, whom she’s never seen. Maťo doesn’t tell Veronika the whole truth about himself, but wants to change his ways. He agrees to do one more job with Tomáš. While holding up a petrol station Maťo unwittingly becomes an accomplice to murder.
