The film’s story was first presented as the director’s theatre play by the same name, which, like the film version, deals with the issue of a hardly definable human aberrance, which is often the result of loneliness and is frequently made manifest in love relationships. The film follows the stories of the suspended air navigator Petr, who tries to get his girlfriend Jana back, of Petr’s father, a former weekly newsreel commentator, of neighbours who only enjoy sex when someone is watching them and of Petr’s pushy mother who is always organizing or controlling something until one day she ends up in psychiatric are. Petr’s attempt to win back Jana consists of a number of hairbrained plans. But the last one somehow doesn’t work out...
The film included shots from the Czech Weekly Newsreel no. 4/1973 (1973) and television film Six Days with Fidel Castro (1973; dir. Petr Ulrych).
