Josef Šváb-Malostranský unrolls a poster in front of a mill with the words CZECH CINEMATOGRAPHER. All the actors in the film gather around him. An old philanderer meets up with the miller's wife in front of the mill. He is about to embrace her when her husband appears. The philanderer gets a good hiding.
The film was shot and screened in the Czech Cinematograph Pavilion during the Exhibition of Architecture and Engineering at the Prague Exhibition Grounds, which lasted from June to October 1898. – A letter from Josef Šváb-Malostranský to Jan Kříženecký and Josef Pokorný, dated 30th of April 1898, is stored at the National Technical Museum, in which he offers to "put together several comic scenes" for Czech Cinematographer. On the basis of this proposal came the film "Rendez-vous in the Mill".
