An honest, young cowboy loses all his savings in a card game and furthermore, the love of his girl. As a result he joins up with a group of gold prospectors. After acquiring a small fortune he returns home, settles his debts fairly with his enemies and wins back the love of his girl. (According to an article appearing in the press at the time the film was made.)
An isolated example of an imitation of American cowboy films, shot in Bohemia at the instigation of Jindřich Muška who spent part of his life living amongst cowboys. The cast is composed almost entirely of non-professional actors. Muška documents the skills of the cowboys in his film: horse-riding, working with lassos and so on. The film materials are believed lost.
