Jaro, nephew of the landowner Hořovský, is a member of a secret organization which plantsto overthrow the prevailing social order. At the secret meeting the members of the organization agree to assassinate the popular Minister Authenar. Jaro, who is an accomplished driver, is included in the scheme. His accomplices, Záruba and Koula, in order to establish his daily routine and habits, shadow the Minister for several days. Soon afterwards the manner of assassination is decided on and the action is rehearsed. Jaro maintains a love affair with the landowner's Hořovský wife and obtains money from her in exchange for promise of a life together. The assassination takes place according the plan and the Minister is shot by Koula and Záruba out of the moving car driven by Jaro. The police follow the culprits and Jaro is the first to be apprehended. The outraged crowd threatens Jaro and the police hardly protect him. While pursued by the police Koula is shot to death and Záruba then commits suicide. (According to the censor's certificate.)
The film was banned by censors on the grounds that: "The public showing of the detailed preparation of an assassination and its execution represents a threat to social order and moral code and the scenes with the landowner´s wife who deceives her husband with servant are incongruous with decency and morality." The film materials are believed lost.
