Newly-weds Irča and Lexa are setting up a home together. Irča, with the help of her loyal maid Anna, cooks her husband lunch for the first time although it causes her a certain amount of difficulty. During a visit from her former classmates, Irča announces that she is pregnant but her husband doesn't know yet. Lexa buys a radio and earths it to the main water tap. In the evening the pair fall asleep with headphones on their heads. While they are asleep their tossing in bed unwittingly turns on the water mains. This causes a flood in the flat and the neighbour's who come over to complain but Lexa pacifies them and even starts flirting with the pretty neighbour which makes Irča jealous. When, the next day, she goes to meet Lexa to the office, she sees him coming out with a pretty colleague and flies into a fury. Irča goes off to her mother's and decides to get a divorce. Her mother calms her down and takes her home. Lexa intensifies her jealousy by announcing he is going next door to have a coffee with the neighbour. Irča starts packing her suitcase and Lexa notices some baby clothing amongst Irča's things. He finally discovers that he is going to be a father and asks for Irča's forgiveness.
