Three friends, Oskar, Jiří and Fred, leave the big city to travelaround the countryside. They set up camp by a lake amidst forests and meadows. They meet Věra who has escaped from a caravan. All three try to gain Věra's affections but she has eyes only for the hefty Oskar. The other two friends have to leave the tent. When supplies run out Oskar has to go back to the city and Jiří and Fred become rivals for Věra's favours. Věra quickly forgets Oskar and falls in love with Jiří. Oskar, on his return, feels betrayed by Jiří and they become involved in a fierce fight. When they return to the tent, exhausted, they find it empty...Věra's departure reconciles the friends once more. (According to an article appearing in the press at the time the film was made.)
