Pepča, a homeless girl, has fallen in love with a young engine-driver. He loses his memory during a train accident and lives unrecognised on a country farm belonging to the widowed farmers wife Žofka. After a pub fight during which he regains his memory, he goes back home where his sweetheart stil waits for him. However, Pepča sees his happiness with of Žofka, she lets him go.
In the years 2012 – 2014 the film was reconstructed by National Film Archive.
