Boxer Frank Ward discovers that his fiancée Lily's uncle and guardian baron Levkovic intends to marry her off to the ship-owner and adventurer Black. Ward decides to prevent this from happening and he gets together with the thief Palo who is acquainted with Black's people. He poses as a robber himself. In the company of Palo he sets off to Levkovic's castle where he overhears a conversation between the baron and Black. Black is advising the baron to get rid of his brother's will in which Lily is named as universal heir so that he may acquire the property himself. Ward tells Palo to get hold of the will but he is too late. The will is in the hands of Black's people. Ward and Palo follow Black and, after overcoming the crook, they hand him over to the police. Thus Lily's inheritance is saved and Ward is rewarded with her hand in marriage. (According to promotional material issued at the time the film was made.)
