Eva, an assistant in a record shop, is being pestered by an discourteous customer. Commercial director Švarc comes to her aid but then asks her to help him get rid of his moody lover Rita in return. Švarc's idea is that Eva play the role of his former lover who is determined to go back to him. Meanwhile, however, Rita leaves Švarc of her own accord, having made the acquaintance of Jiří Vydra, a famous pilot, who agrees to meet her in a fishermen's pub. She never has the pleasure of Vydra's company, however, since the latter has also met Eva when buying a record in the shop and he also arranges a date with her. Eva takes the opportunity to invite Vydra for a drink in Švarc's luxury villa. Out of nervousness from receiving a guest in someone else's house and, in fact, pretending to be someone else, she soon becomes drunk and Vydra leaves her in disappointment. Both young women later try to make an impression on Vydra, but without success. Thus Eva goes back to her shop and Rita to her commercial director. Finally, Vydra comes to find Eva himself and, when everything is explained, nothing stands in the way of their future together.
