Serfs in bast foot wear are making heavy progress along the bank of a river, dragging a boat behind them. They sing "Heave - ho" as they go but presently catch sight of an advertisement for Baťa shoes. After they have passed by the poster, they start dancing about and pulling the boat along with ease because they are now wearing new boots. The advertisement for Baťa work shoes presents other trades where good shoes would make the work easier for the wearer: fishermen, postmen, train guards and labourers.
The National Film Archive has the Czech and Slovak version.
