A man and woman who had once been very close six years before, meet in a tram. The man left, however, and never contacted her during all that time. He tells the woman that he has married, that he is successful in his work and that he has also become involved in political life. Only now does he apologise to her for having never contacting her. The woman is also now married. Finally, they say their goodbyes. The man gets off the tram and enters a company building. There he hands over his card and, after a lengthy wait, he is called into an office. The director sees from his papers that he has been unemployed for a year and he sends him to see his future superior.
The film was released as a preview of the Soviet film New Gulliver.
