A simple story illustrating part of Fibich's work At Twilight which Jan Kubelík arranged for violin, it became famous throughout the world under the title Poem. A girl sits with a boy in a meadow in the summer twilight. The girl is weaving a garland and the boy fixes his gaze on the fireflies hovering above the surface of the pond. In his eyes the fireflies are transformed into fairies who dance and lure him towards them. The boy gets up and walks along the edge of the stone wall towards the fairies. He decides to pluck a water-lily from the water but he leans too far, he falls into the water and drowns.
