Unfinished film.
A cheerful musical fairy tale about three musicians called Tall, Broad and Sharp-Eyes-Sighted and their adventures. Together they wander around the world and help the prince to find a bride who is kept prisoner by an evil wizard. (Based on press reports of the time)
Only costume rehearsals were filmed, initially also with Stanislav Neumann as Sharp-Eyes-Sighted. Josef Střecha was originally intended to be the cameraman and the cast consisted of Jaroslav Marvan, Jan Pivec and Hana Vítová. Constant difficulties with the German authorities, who saw traces of political allegories and allusions in the film, led in September 1943 to the production company's final decision to take the film off the production schedule. At the turn of 1945 and 1946, the state production briefly considered restarting the project. A two-minute sound camera rehearsal of the costumes still exists, with the trio of the main actors, Jindřich Plachta, František Černý and Ladislav Pešek playing brass instruments.
