A man leaving a restaurant at night hears a desperate cry. He runs into the house from where he heard the cry, runs up the dark staircase, his pistol at the ready. He enters a flat and finds a bloody razor and discarded blood-stained rag on the table. A man lies still on the bed. He suddenly moves, however, and wants to know what the intruder is doing there. A woman enters the room in her nightdress and curlers. She explains to the visitor what happened. She has just removed a corn from her husband's foot. The visitor breathes a sigh of relief but recommends to the pair that they should not use such dangerous methods, choosing instead a proper specialist pedicure to relieve discomfort at the state company Jas.
