The workers from Rustonka - the repair workshop of the Prague Transport Company - are crazy about football, especially about their team. The players and their fans meet in the workshop doctor's consulting room. But one day the doctor is replaced with a younger doctor, Milada. The workshop's staff conspires against her and starts to boycott her office. But Milada doesn't give up. When she gets her work in order, she starts encouraging the employees' active interest in sport. First she convinces the trainees to take part in the competition for Tyrš's capability award and then, with the help of the foreman Javorin, entices the adults to join the exercises and sports. Eventually, Milada becomes popular with everybody. This occurs just as her time is up, and, at the news of her departure, the workers try to prevent it. Milada surrenders and stays. She also says yes to the marriage offer of the bragging young engineer Javorin who has for a long time hid his feelings for her under his arrogant attitude.
