Mother is dictating a Czech language story to her little daughter. Father is moving around the flat silently, packing his things, and the mother is sad and holding back her tears. The little girl recalls her parents' quarrel from the day before. She doesn't understand why the mother wanted her father to be sensible, surely he is big and sensible, isn't he...? The parents start promising all the things they are going to buy for the girl. It would make her much happier if the father stayed at home. But he leaves his keys in the hallway and the door slams behind him.
