From his perch in the branches of a tall pear tree, little Standa sees a bus with whitened windows approaching. He shouts to the other kids that a travelling cinema is coming. The delighted children congregate to greet it, only to find out that an itinerant dentist surgery has arrived instead of the promised cinema. Tonda is so scared that he prefers to run off. Standa escapes as well, but when Tonda's mother intervenes and drags her son back to the dentist the terrified Standa hides. He is soon discovered and has to see the dentist. Standa is surprised to find that fixing his little tooth does not hurt a bit and he bravely endures the treatment without wailing. As a reward, the dentist gives him a box with a film roll in it and soon the children run to their school, where the screening will take place.
