The summer holidays are approaching and the teacher informs his pupils that he would like to tell them something about children. The sound of the school bell interrupts him. The class is over. Some children go swimming in the afternoon. Alena has hurt her foot on the river plage and it takes her longer to leave. Vláďa, who suspects that the teacher wants to tell them something about how babies are born, waits for Alena. They discuss the issue of how one "have children" but neither seems to know much about it. Vláďa kisses Alena on the cheek, and then remembers how he saw a film where a man kissed a woman and then they had a baby. Alena is worried that she will have one as well. The next day, their teacher resumes his speech. The children are disappointed. The teacher only wanted to advise them to take more care of their younger brothers and sisters, and small children in general.
