A clown dislikes his friend boasting how many things he had taught the elephant Bimbo. He therefore makes a bet with a friend - anybody can shave his face if he himself lets an elephant lay down on him and does not get hurt. Bimbo is deft and indeed does not hurt his trainer during the demanding exercise. The clown finds to his horror that the one who is to shave his face is the very Bimbo. The elephant swings with the shaving brush and thoroughly lathers the clown. Then grasps a big razor, sharpens it and indeed shaves the scared clown. To end up with, he drenches him with a decent splash of eau-de-Cologne. The clown gets the moral: it is no good to underestimate a trained elephant and moreover make silly bets.
The film was made in cooperation with the West German company Schmid Productions München.
