Introduction: The boy Kryštof is an inventor and the girl Kristýna is a writer. One day they meet. The Entire World: Kryštof sees a mysterious world behind the fence, with old trailers, cars, a locomotive and black horses. At Home in the Yard: Lucinka waits for Kryštof at home in the yard, playing in the sand. Her brother tells her what he saw behind the fence. He cannot complete his invention; instead, he heads off to the world together with his sister. Wandering: Kryštof and Lucinka set off to see the world. Kristýna is supposed to join them but they keep missing each other. The Entire World Again: The children finally meet and break the fence with the machine that Kryštof has invented. They are disappointed. This is not the world they were hoping to find. Winter: The children are snow sledging and getting ready to visit Kristýna.
