After the whirl of the wedding a pair of newly-weds are about to get into bed, when they are interrupted by the mother, who uses various excuses to get into the room. The bridegroom locks the door, but the mother breaks it soon and offers them buns with a smile. The astounded pair resign themselves to the situation and accept the snacks. The years have gone by, and the old pair is now lying in bed eating buns and saying "She still loves us. How long is it since she died?"
