In a spacious room with only one single bed a young patient complains about a feeling of loneliness. A nurse promises her that soon there will be added other beds and other patients will keep her company. The patient looks forward to meet her lover. They have been dating for two years and they are still affectionate. The nurse leaves and the girl evokes memories of a dance with her boyfriend. She gets up and sets to dancing around the room. But the violent motion makes her heart suffer and the girl's life is past saving even by the immediate intervention of a doctor. The boy, coming to a visit, sadly observes a pale and motionless face of his beloved.
