The electrician Jožka is rushing to work and he gets a fine when he jumps out of the tram. The electrician Eman is not in hurry. He comes half an hour late and he does not rush to work at all. The foreman of the maintenance does not pay a proper attention to his subordinated employees due too much paper work. Therefore Eman can together with an tractable apprentice Fanek hide in various places and cover up his idleness. The only one who is available for all breakdowns which occur on a huge construction of a prefab estate housing is Jožka, called the Runner because he is always willing to run anywhere. But there is too much work and the exhausted Jožka is severely injured. The question is though whether it really was his fault.
