Factory worker Pepek spends much more time chatting to his colleagues and horsing around than working, and so distracts the others from their work and disturbs their concentration. This finally leads to an accident when an unattended flame cuts through an iron girder, part of which falls and injures a factory foreman. Pepek is demonstrating his skill at juggling with beer-mats and injures the same foreman's eye. Playing around with the crane driver in the crane-operating room, he heedlessly starts up the factory crane and almost causes a tragedy. Pepek is simply a danger to himself and all the other employees at the factory, and his ways serve as a warning to everybody else.
