The Day Full of BeginningsSynopsis
A father comes to the hospital to pick up his son Filip who is about twelve years old. The boy has been ill for a long time and is already really looking forward to going fishing. But the two don't go home. Instead, they drive to a cottage where Filip has never been before. The father is trying to tell him something but doesn't know how to begin. They go to the fishpond behind the forest and start setting up a fishing rod. They missing some tools so Filip runs back to the cottage to get them. There is another car parked in front with Filip's mother standing next to it. The two greet each other. The mother offers to take Filip for a ride and the boy, a great fan of automobiles, is delighted. The woman drives him home where Filip meets a strange man, his mother's new partner. Confused, the boy returns to the cottage on his bicycle and hides in the house. He thus witnesses a quarrel between his parents who are searching for him, and he finds out about their divorce. When they fail to find their son, the mother leaves, followed by her new partner. The father also gets into his car and drives off. Filip is taking a shortcut through the woods and stumbles upon his father, who has collapsed on his car horn. He cannot be brought round, and so Filip pushes him onto the next seat. He remembers everything he knows about driving and slowly drives the car back to the hospital. He thus saves his father's life, as the man has suffered a heart attack.
