Hunting the DucksSynopsis
A pretty girl, Irena, comes by mistake to the office of the Technical Information Centre. Viktor Zídek, who works in the Centre, immediately makes a date with her. He is not stopped even by a phone call from his wife, Kateřina, who tells him that she expects a baby. Viktor’s and Kateřina’s marriage has not been happy for a long time. Some time has passed since the years in love and Viktor spends more and more time with other women. Kateřina wants to break up with him, but Viktor does not want to allow that, although he is dating further with Irena, who does not know that he is married. Nor is Kateřina firmly decided, as she still loves Viktor. Viktor’s father dies. Viktor goes to the pub to drink away his sorrow, Irena comes here too. Kateřina finds out, as she brought clothes for the funeral to him at the pub. Kateřina leaves forever and she locks Viktor in the flat. Behind the locked door, Viktor confesses love to Kateřina again and he even wants to take her duck hunting. Irena hears his confession of love. Viktor invites Irena, his colleague Petr, his boss and his wife to a restaurant. There he gets drunk and he offends them all. In the morning, a messenger brings a funeral wreath with a dedication "prematurely burnt away at work and in life from sad friends". Viktor wants to shoot himself, but his friend stops him. Viktor aims the gun at his friend, but then throws him out. Then he starts laughing... or crying?
