The old sailor, Jáchym, used to be a king of the sea. Towards the end of his life he ruled mainly in harbour pubs. Now he’s passed away and his embarrassed relatives are standing in the chapel around his coffin. They are glad when three pals of the dead man come and are willing to sit up at the coffin. They pass a banknote and a bottle of alcohol to the sailors. The drunken men let the dead man also drink and, when they see it is not comfortable how he is lying, they set him up. In the end, they decide to take him one more time to the pub. There they are vividly welcome, especially by one of the tarts. The drunken company does not even notice there is a dead man among them. There is a fight in the pub, the fighters push the chair and Jáchym’s body falls on the ground. At dawn Jachym’s companions carry him back to the coffin, accompanied by the entire jolly pub.
