A young man at a railway station asks for a secluded house with a big garden which is supposed to be somewhere around. The booking clerk tells him the way. The house is beautiful but neglected. And although the rooms are empty, it seems that it resonates with steps which can be heard coming from somewhere. The young man wanders through the house and its garden, and it turns out that he is not alone – there is also a pretty girl who goes there to draw. She tells him about the legend tied to the house. Rumours say that it was inhabited by a man and a woman who loved each other very much and have not left the house even after their death. They have left their treasure here and now guard it. The young couple briefly mime being a baroness and her husband who drink tea and look at the landscape. The young man would like to buy the house but does not have the necessary funds. A dog runs into the garden and the girl leaves with it.
