Petr's parents died tragically. Petr's godparents – an elder couple – don't know what to do with the teenage boy, so they send him to his uncle and aunt. The aunt, Věra, is an attractive woman and the teenaged Petr falls in love with her. He sees her naked in his first erotic dreams. Petr recalls his father, who used to teach him pistol shooting on cans. Věra's husband is a scuccesful photographer and Petr hates him. He kills his tamed hawk and he knocs down his doves with a shovel. The boy does not perceive his own cruel behaviour. He suspects that his uncle he wants to harm his aunt. The uncle throws out the intractable Petr. Petr returns to his godparents. Soon he learns that his aunt Věra died after a furious wolfhound bit her.
