Amidst a totally devastated landscape, Eda Uvízl tries to support his scientific theory and films himself in the process. He opines that the fish have not disappeared completely, but developed wings in the contaminated water and simply flew away. But new rules were introduced in the zone and „after the victory of the Great Idea, the quality of people’s class-consciousness allowed for abolishing legal norms and laws”. Eda’s movements are thus watched with displeasure. The man drinks two decilitres of the contaminated water every day but does not observe any physiological changes on himself; only his depressions intensify. Eda would like the operation of all industrial outlets to stop. After Article 1, Paragraph 2 of the effective Moral Codex, however, any form of public grouping and citizens’ gathering is not appropriate and, after Paragraph 9, it is inappropriate for the citizens to express any form of emotions, feelings and moods. Eda’s direct superior is forced to apply to be relieved of his post., Eda’s colleague is promoted and Eda himself jumps off a roof. But he has no wings to save him, and the filmed material is the only thing of him left behind.
