A little rag boy puppet comes to life in a Christmas-Eve dream of a little girl and tries to amuse and cheer her up.
The negative of the finished film was burnt during a fire at the laboratories in February 1944. It was filmed again by Karel Zeman in collaboration with Bořivoj Zeman. The film materials are believed lost.
