As a part of a celebration of the Emperor's Jubilee and as a tribute of the armed municipal corps of Prague a field mass was celebrated in the Old Town Square by the archbishop Lev Skrbenský z Hříště. The mass took place in the presence of the mayor of Prague, Karel Groš, Archduke Charles (later Emperor Charles I) and other important dignitaries.
The film was filmed and presented as a part of the Jubilee Exhibition of the Chamber of Trade and Commerce at the Prague Exhibition Grounds, which lasted from May to October 1908. – The event itself took place on 28th Juni 1908.
