The document is another “layer” to the gradually pieced-together historical mosaic of the impacts of World War II. It was created on the initiative of the Erinnerung, Verantowortung und Zukunft foundation. It records the valuable testimony of three completely different women, linked through their experience of forced labour in Nazi Germany – the Ukrainian Inna Klimenková (82), the Pole Barbara Müller (86) and the Czech Libuše Audrlická (86) and seeks a response to the question how forced labour affected their lives in the years after the war. The film is supplemented by archive film fragments and private photographs.
