At dawn, detective Martin rides his Felicia car through the city streets, following a dairy car, which is delivering milk to the shops. In the front of one dairy shop, Martin spots a boy taking three bottles of milk from the case. After a short pursuit, the detective catches the little thief. It turns out to be Radek, a refugee from a children's home. In Martin's office, the boy is told to wash up and empty out his pockets. As Martin leaves for a meeting, he slips the boy's album with exotic stamps into his pocket. At the meeting, he is told that a collection of valuable stamps was stolen in Prague. To great surprise of his colleagues, Martin produces the very searched-for stamps out of his pocket. Radek had found them in a post car on a siding where he was hiding with a dog for whom he stole milk. The thieves are caught and Radek must return to the children's home.
