A group of Czech tourists returns by train from Paris, all in one carriage. Petr Nerad buys in a stall stand a model of Eiffel tower for his wife and for himself in secret a carton with cognac. An elderly Dr Přikryl takes to the carriage Nerad's carton and his one. Coincidentally, getting on the train, Adéla offers Dr Přikryl to hold boxes for a while for him and notices that one box is much more heavier than other. The train sets out and Nerad's warning that alcohol is prohibited to take out of a country ends in a drinking bout. Přikryl is in the night knocked down. Inženýr Bušek turns out to be a criminalogist and with Adéla's help detects in the morning as an offender Mr Tajer, who wanted to smuggle gold in a bottle of cognac, dissolved in aqua regia.
