Young niece of the Nerads witnesses at a fairground the jealous scene between the round-about man Kubeš and his wife. Nerad takes snaps at the attractions and it appears that the lover of Kubešová was murdered. Adéla helps Bušek give evidence that the lover is alive but at the same time she finds out that among the staff of the amusement park is a thief, who has been steeling bottles of expensive alcohol from the railway carriages, at the train path between Tábor and Praha.
