It is the year 1944. A communist Karel Štefka is arrested in Vsetín where he is supposed to establish contacts with partisans from Slovakia. Sturmführer Hybes strives to force him to a betrayal. During Karel's interrogation Hybes dies of heart attack. Štefka warns the Vsetín comrades from his phone and then he runs away. But on the square he is shot by an SS man.
