Gabriela Melanová has just successfully finished her studies at hotel school and is looking forward to returning to the Savoy Hotel, where she worked before. But she receives a notification that she has been assigned to a country pub. She demands an explanation and help at the national committee, in the school, at the hotel and at the Czechoslovak Youth Movement secretariat. No one help her and she resigns herself to the situation.
