Jana, a young energetic worker in a big textile firm, shoots an amateur film with her friends criticising shortcomings at the plant. The girls' efforts are recognized, but the praise is insincere. On the excuse of renovations to the hostel the director sends the inconvenient women critics to a distant branch, and Jana, whose father is a highly placed official, to studies. Jana's bitterness is increased by the fact that her father knew about the whole affair.
